Each tool makes a specific calculation from the inputs you provide. Results are planning estimates, with their scope and missing items explained on the page. A published average or example price is not a quote for your circumstances.
How to check a result
Open the worked calculation, review the units and assumptions, and follow the source links. The methodology explains the formulas; the price table identifies the dated benchmarks. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser.
Editorial standards
We distinguish manufacturer specifications, published research, illustrative assumptions, and prices entered by visitors.
