What calculator.net does not show

Most mud widgets invent a “gallon per sheet” rule and then add starter-style padding. J1969 is gallons per 1,000 sq ft of panels (10 gal → 1.0 per 100). Plus 3 is a different product: this site locks 0.9 gal/100 and will not blend J498A’s 9.4 gal/1,000 onto the All Purpose line. Need 4×8 UltraLight sheets? That is a different calculator.

Worked US example: 12×12 room, 8 ft walls, ceiling on

Same net as the drywall sheet fixture: 1 door, 1 window. All Purpose J1969, then the Plus 3 toggle.

Gross walls = 2 × (12 + 12) × 8 = 384 sq ft
Ceiling     = 144 sq ft
Openings    = 35 sq ft
Net panels  = 493 sq ft     (same as /drywall-calculator)
